August 21, 2011- It is no secret that Lance Bass is a dear friend of mine and I am thrilled to be having him back on the show!

To change it up, I am asking for some input from you, his favorite fans and friends. Typically when artists are on a show, they are asked questions in an effort to get to know them better and plug their latest projects.

Since Lance has not only done thousands of interviews and shared all there is to share (he’s even already written a book about his life), he’s also currently hosting his own weekly radio show on SiriusXM called The Pop Ten (which on a side note, I will be co-hosting this week).

Since this show is all about gratitude, I thought it would be fun to turn the tides and have you guys write a short paragraph or two to me and let me know what Lance means and has meant to you over the years. I can’t promise to get to every single one, but I will definitely read as many to him on the air that I can. Those that I don’t get a chance to read, I will have printed out and hand to him after.

All you need to do is either leave your message in the comment section of THIS BLOG POST or you can email me directly at TheBaubShow@gmail.com. Then be sure and listen in live, this Sunday at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern at www.thebaubshow.com to see if yours gets read on the air.

And don’t worry, we’ll still be talking about his latest projects and of course his new show!

Music 2 write by: The Iveys

One of the best things about hosting my weekly internet show is getting to connect with people from all over the country.  I think people connecting with people is one of the greatest human cravings and when we satisfy that hunger, great things can happen!

As my show was first launching, some mutual fans connected me to a band called The Iveys. They are a three part family unit (one brother and two sisters) out of Texas that have perfected what I like to refer to as “California Country” (think The Eagles or Crosby, Stills and Nash or even the new discs from Ashley Arrison and Josh Kelley). Arlen’s vocals are coated with a perfect layer of Rob Thomas, while the powerful harmonies from Jill and Jessica result in a Lady Antebellum / Fleetwood Mac marriage.

Last Friday, they played their first ever show in Los Angeles at The Mint and I was there front and center, bouncing my head and smiling like Carol Brady watching her kids perform as The Silver Platters. Their set was tight and their harmonies in sync. They’re professional and polished beyond their years and played the room full of drifters the same as if it were a packed house of fans. I keep saying that if I were given my own television talk show, they would be my first choice to hire as my house band. Their musicianship, passion for what they’re doing and positive energy are infectious and is near impossible not to connect with when you see them on stage doing their thing. And isn’t connection what it is all about?

Be sure and check out their website: TheIveysMusic.com and download their CD on iTunes (seriously, it is only $8!). The couple of dollars you spend means a lot to them, so you are supporting an awesome band as well as some well-deserving dreamers, not to mention you get a great new collection of music! You can also listen to my interview with them just below their music video for Back When It Was Our World.

My Birthday Wish

Posted by Bob Merrick under photos, The Baub Show

My friend, the fabulous Eric Scot, shot this for me today. It’s my new publicity shot for The Baub Show. It’s rare that I would be so smitten with a photo of myself and I don’t dare have a bit of regret for saying that. We should all love photos of ourselves because they are snapshots of our lives and we should all be living lives we are proud of. Today I am celebrating mine, with this photo and on this day because now that it is midnight, I am officially one year older.

As a gift to me, go out and do something nice for you and include someone else and make the world a better place! xoxo

The Baub Show – September 24th, 2008 (Episode 5)

Posted by Bob Merrick under video

[livevideo id=1C21E6E72A60444B915F0E34AD7BF39E]Clay Aiken comes out? Are Cloris Leachman’s breasts next?

Chris Thompson’s testosterone is in the house trying to overcompensate for Wendy’s pinkness and our girl friendly Midori Bombs. All this and more on our finger licking good fifth episode of The Baub Show (and I haven’t watched it yet myself, so I send my apologies for my drunkness and inability to keep us on course).

We're all gay!

I don’t get why everyone always goes for the professional shot. I also don’t understand why this topic is so newsworthy. I DO know that if I were to get my own cover, I would want it to look more like this:
